We know it, The internet is full of DIY (Do It Yourself) tutorials and pictures, some of them quite remarkable, some a little lame (yeah, those are really painful to watch!). We came across these guys who found a whole new level in recycling. And brought up very clever ideas to try at home. We hope you find them interesting and, why not? Try a few. Concrete bricks are available everywhere and they are the cheapest thing.
It is crazy all the different uses these guys gave them. From plain decorations to an amazing backyard pool. (yeah, a backyard pool!). Toilet paper rolls are the most disposable element in the house. You won't believe how useful they can be. Here are a few awesome ideas to do at home using only toilet paper rolls, used plastic bottles and concrete bricks and your imagination.
A BACKYARD STAIRCASE
Cement blocks filled with pebbles make a beautiful staircase for the garden, and it will only cost you a few bills and an afternoon of work. Just place them on the ground and fill them with pebbles or any other rock you want.
There is no need to spend a fortune on a new TV table. Entertaintment center furniture is very expensive but if you just stack a few concrete blocks and shelves, voila!. All in the open, with no dealing with tricky holes for cables.
A few cement blocks, some wood and some nice pillows make a great bench for your patio. Be creative and playful, see how she even added so me plants on the side. See yourself sitting there enjoying a margarita in the sunday afternoon.

Who says you can not paint concrete blocks? Pimp up your garden with concrete furniture. Here, the sky's the limit. Combine wood and cement blocks and create a whole new set for your patio. Be creative and don't be afraid of using colors.
All you need for this super cute futon is a mattress and some pillows. Like in the bed shown before, Concrete bricks work perfect as a base for your bed, in this case, use them under a single mattress in the guest room and it will become your favorite spot in the house.
Concrete blocks combined with wooden boards can make a great bookshelf. Go for the fancy & rustic look and get your interiors decorated as the ones on those cool interior design magazines.
You need privacy? Just build a wall of concrete blocks. That's what they're there for. Make sure to place a few like the ones in the picture to place flower pots and make it all look stunning.

You decide for yourself the size of the pool. Keep in mind this decision has a big impact on the work to come. Hopefully a good friend will provide you with a small excavator. If not, then the everlasting shoveling with the spade.

Making the surface exactly horizontal may be a real challenge but focus on the bottom. There, you can decide whether it must necessarily be horizontal, or whether it may finally be deeper on one side.

Build a pyramid-shaped garden with cement blocks. You can be a pharaoh and build your own pyramid right there in your backyard. Try avoid burying yourself in it, just put some flowers!

Turn your favorite round mirror into an artistic accessory of your home. Spraypaint your paper rolls with the appropriate color. Then cut rings off the compressed rollers, as shown in the picture and glue them around the mirror.
Fill a box with toilet paper rolls. Then set it up and VOILA! Now you have a wonderful storage box for small toy cars. It is the perfect parking garage for your child.
This one is pretty cool. To grow plants, you cut the paper rolls four times on one side and interlock the cloths. So you get paper pots that rot ideally. Once the plant is growing, just bury the whole thing on the ground.
Bring order to your desk! To do this, you give your toilet paper rolls the desired color with spray paint and attach them to a box. In no time you have your own personal desk organizer.
This is another version of the one in the previous picture. Your organizer still looks too ordinary? Then get some branches from the garden and stick them on the paper rolls. Your guests will be staring!
Who attracts the most birds to his bird feeder? we love to see them coming to our yard but they keep passing by. Try the following: Brush a toilet paper roll with peanut butter and add birdseed.

Get a few strings, scissors, fill your plastic bottles with good soil and plant your favorite seeds on this clever vertical garden. The results are magnificent and once they grow, you'll be the proud guy who made a step to heal the world. Every step counts.
We know how important is for you to protect the Earth, and we know you've been collecting a lot of plastic bottles waiting for a way to recycle them instead of just throwing them out. Cut their bottoms with a good knife. You'll be amazed at the results.
Once you´ve got all of those bottoms off, use some glue to put them all together as shown in the picture, Then add some spray paint and there you go: A beautiful chandelier for your favorite room.
This one is easy, handy and even fun to make. It could be a nice rainy saturday evening project with the kids (that only if you are the responsible adult in charge of the scissors).

Ok, this one is not really a DO IT YOURSELF tutorial, but we thought it was quite inspiring and a great piece of art. Hurricane Sandy unofficially referred to as "Superstorm Sandy" was the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season.

This guy filled the bottles with just a little bit of colored water (there are several ways to do it: ink, dye powder, etc) and hanged them from strings (see next picture for details).

Hanging on strings from a solid tent structure and filled with a tiny bit of water (avoid to make them too heavy) all these plastic bottles together form this imaginative and colorful Parking Canopi. Awesome!
We showed you this technique before and here is another great example of how Plastic bottle bottoms work perfect when you glue them together. In this case we use the base of a regular night table lamp to create a beautiful bouquet.
