UK came to visit
Ringo may have not been everyone's favorite Beatle, but he got his redemption by being painted playing the drums in the middle of the city. His very own Octopus garden, we may say.
Under the sea
Some pipes attached to the wall may not seem like a big deal, but this artist turned them into three happy crabs that remind us that life is indeed, better, under the sea.
Don’t forget to floss
Dental health is important (or shoud be, at least) to all of us and having it on the streets painted in such an ingenious way can only work as a good reminder that we should brush our teeth after every meal.
Bird in a cage
Before it looked sad, and grey and not a spot in the city you would usually spen much time looking at, but just by turning it over with black paint, it became a piece of art that will definetly caught your eve if you were walking in the area.
A sad pipe that doesn't seem to even match or be imortant enough to be stucked inside a wall trasnformed into a cheerful and adorable elephant for this artist. Kids for sure are going to love it.
Two pieces in one: he made some black and white striped snakes and turnes an old parkimeter into a guard because of coures, who would let snakes around people without any official care?
The imagination on how this steel key was made into an opening heart lock is absolutely amazing: I'm pretty sure that every lover's couple that's in the area will turn a picture next to it into a tourist's classic.
Play some pool
Are you ready for a pool game? He sure is as he took this old rusty containers and turned them into a complete set of pool balls that changed the place from sad to super fun. Big game, though, but still does the trick.
Not only this artist works with pieces and walls he finds on the street to get inspired: this particular one was clever enough to make it appear when the shadow of the chain in reflected on the exact spot.
The lizard king
Let us all be hones for a moment here: if that was a real lizard coming out in the middle of the street we would be terrified, but he made it look so pop art and kind of sleepy that we love it.
Popeye is one of the most beloved cartoons of all time an he had to be a part of this whole artistic intervention: luckily he didn't forget to put his can of spinach near him in case he needs some extra strenght.
Who doesn't love (and get pretty nostalgic when thinking about it) Pac Man? The arcade game has made its way into the pavement and is ready to eat his way across the street.
Two camouflage whales kissing each other on top of two separate buildings create a magnificent work of art that can only be appreciated from above, as it we were looking down on a very clear and colorful ocean.
Meet the Jetsons
And old put together barbecue grill turned into Rosie the robot, everyone's favourite maid is a brilliant idea. He was always there to assist and clean after the Jetson, but don't expect her cleaning any littering.
A green and colorful octopus in the middle of the street looked better than we could have ever imagined: he even has a very elegant bow tie around his neck just in case there's a fancy event going on.
A scooba's helmet is a clever creation parting from the probably old and rusty sewer: there are so many of them around that canvasses will never be over, and we particulary loved this one.
An ambicious and long caterpillar found its many legs already laying there, with an actual use but even if we don't know how it looked before, we are sure it didn't look quite as good as it does now.
How do you like your eggs?
Eggs are a must in every american breakfast: regardless you like them scramble, hard boiled, as an omelette or fried they will always appear on your plate. Why not turning the sewer into a pan ready to serve you some?
Security signs can be mundane, but with some eyer, eyebrows and hands as if they were abut to come and surprise you look like a lot of fun. Beware of not paying attention on the road, or they'll go after you!
Eye of the tiger
A huge tank gas may not seem like much to the average eye, but for this incredible artist it was the erfect chance to portrait a tiger with so much detail in its colors that we want to give him a standing ovation for it.
Crazy hair don’t care
Is it possible to make art with a rock and some grass strains over it? Apparently it is and this smiling rose cheeked face proves it: it may seem like a simple painting, but it changes the spirit of the whole landscape.
With some structures and pipes Tom created a gropu of very happy and excited monkeys hanging from trees made with the same pipes in a different color. What's with the spoon on the floor? Not sure, but we love it.
Tweety has had a lifetime of adventures ans running away from Sylvester but he seems to have found some peace and quiet in this cage transformed sewer. Will Granny appear in the neibourghood? We hope so.
If you ever watched Eureka's castle as a kid, please leave a comment on ths post and let us know if you find a familiar resemlbance to the Bat's face in this one. If you don't, let us know what does he look like to you.
Land on the beer
Yes, you have found yourself another lifegoal without knowing it: parasail and land on top a huge foamy cold beer. And if this is impossible, at least we have this awesome graffiti on the wall to image what would it be like.
This kid seems pretty excited to be enjoying an oreo cookie sitting on a giant one: and we assume so it's the brand, who just got some free and effective advertising never imagined…on a sewer.
If you think about a kid's playground it will surely come to your mind a girl jumping the rope. This is another example with how not only playing with elements but also with its shadows he creates magic everywhere.
Even though this is not the first pipe he has turned into a snake, by changing the color, pattern and facial expressions he achieved a very calm and fun looking animal just crossing through the grass.
An air conditioning and a trash can makeovered as a couple of handy robots ready to help anyone in need changed this boring wall into a futuristic funny design that we absolutely love.
There you are!
Nobody in his right mind would like to come across a ghost, but this changes if it came straigh out of the arcade: not sure if it's located next to Pac Man's painting, but hope it can get away.
Some polls seemed ordinary until Tom's magic touch appeared: a chinese family dressed alike appeared and a bamboo strain just finished up the oriental landscape idea. Simply genious, don't you think?
As the other ones he made seemed calm and friendly, this one looks like it's up to something suspicious: maybe he realised he's no longer just a pipe and looking for revenge. Hope is not the case anyway.
You got greedy, Mickey: going after that huge cube of cheese that must be heavy as a giant rock was not a good idea. Keep this as a lesson: if the cheese is bigger than you, maybe it's better to have a sandwich.
They say home is where the heart is, but in this case home is where that huge smiley face that takes two full walls is: not sure who lives here but we love the spirit of having the most original house on the block.
This poor turtle should have looked both ways before crossing the street: it may not have ended well for the turtle, but what a great piece of pop art it turned the pavement into.
If you need prove that snakes are not neccesarily scary, look how happy the kid in the back of the picture looks. What is great aboy this is that even though is simple, the texture looks incredible.
Why is that face so sad? Is that a keyboard? We are not sure but what we know is that the venting conduct supposed to be but we love it: a white wall completely transformed to a piece of art.
A cement cone doesn't say as much as this rather disappointed and surprised duck that just enhances the corner he is in. Simple lines, very few colors and the element of surprise made this one a success.
Table for two
This waiter seems to be expecting you to take your next order: he ven drew the shadow on the floor to add some realistic effect. The details, lights ans shadows made this walk of fame even more elegant with him on the wall.
A pipeline decorated qith leaves that guide you to a very sad painted one that's asking for help: street interventions are not only fun, but sometimes add an important message to society in an unexpected way.
This is not actually a street, but it didn't create any issues to make it funner. Even if the surrounding its all sand, rocks and plants, he managed to add an extraordinary piece that transfrormed it completely.
That poor cone
Traffic cones help prevent accidents but in this case it was the major victim of driving negligence. With a litlle rat tail but keeping its regular orange color and some original parts, this is one of our favorites.
I’m watching you
Tom has the imagination to find a possibility of creation in each and every blank space he finds: in this case a seagull that is watching your every move, so don't worry, he's got you covered.
A beach is not an obstacle to put some creativity in it when it comes to this artist's work: something very Game of Thrones like happened to this Bart's head and it ended there. Can you imagine how the story went to end up like this?
Like my mustache?
Sometimes his pieces take full buildings or whole walls and sometimes they are little, simple, hidden and unexpected as this evil face with a mustache that probably most people didn't even notice.
Bertie and friend
Bertie seems to have found a friend across the way that actually looks a lot like him. This maybe one of the more simple pieces since it's a regular graffiti, but still as his crame, specially with the little guy posing next to it.
On the floor
Not only he took advantage of the hole in the ground to create a face out of it, but by the little stones added texture and the expressions fits perfectly: hope nobody steps on it by accident.
These benchs were transformed into casettes of some of our favorite bands and solo artists: maybe new generations are not nostalgic about these, but for use who grew up listining to tapes, this is awesome.
A fire hyrant is transformed into the cutest boy scout you've ever seen and not only that: he added some baloons on his hand and some sky under him to create…yes, you got it: a true refeence to Pixar's UP.
